Forgive further discussion/hijack Rik (my 2p Icebreaker all the way) but as regards Paramo they've got their annual Paramo sale coming up.

Not the most glamorous location and a bit of a jumble sale rummage, but you can get some serious bargains on top notch gear....just be wary, Paramo converts are little bit geek freak scary ;)
