I used to use auto sol and really fine sand paper. Always worked good on cr-mo bmx frames

Finished!
Very pleased. Satin finish(first time the fella had ever done satish, he normally does mirror finish). Polished it up with autosol and come up a treat :-)
Thanks to Dammit for the hook up :-)

Graham, how much it was? do you know if you can take the frame with paint, or need to be "clean", as it was yours?

Not sure mate, I just stripped it with Nitromors first but give him a bell/mail to find out
£50 including a set of riser handlebars too. Dropped it off Monday, he'd finished on Thursday, picked it up today. :-)

Fucking lovely. What's changed? How has the finish held up, has it gone funny or stayed nice? Think I'd want a more modern saddle on there myself but whatevs.

- Frame's fine, not even re-polished it yet
- Stays, seat tube and downtube, gets covered in rain, dirt etc, brush it off with a dry cloth when dried, fine
- Stayed pretty shiny and still loks ace(imo)
- How much more modern saddle can you get than a brand new Kashimax Aero?
- Frame's fine, not even re-polished it yet

....oh, and wet n dryed the celeste 'Bianchi' decal off the carbon forks, Left a slight 'hew'(sp)/buff marks so just put some black 'BIKES SUCK' stickers over the top to cover a bit yet still show the carbon, nice and subtle

Great job Graham.

I prefer the brushed finish to the mirror finish that I got from them- and they charged you 50% of what I paid, which indicates either how much more work the mirror finish was, or that they are secret scousers.
Tempted to get the Fuji done now, but we'd have to make sure we did not go to the same place at the same time Graham.

But mine would be and look far more superior ;-)
Cheeky cunt! ;-)
Like bike frame's and most other things, it can be modified too
