Marcola has a number of sweet bikes. I like the Mercian and Hetchins.
Does anyone else have a similar collection or are people happy with one or two if they are their dream bikes ?
I have a road bike (my dream bike) and am considering keeping a track bike I just bought if it fits. The temptation is there to try other bikes but if you find a sweet ride why change it ?
Anyway sweet collection Marcola.Do you want me to see if I can set up a dinner date for you and Marcola?
Cos me and him are like well tight blud.

Is that why Marcola has the two dining chairs and table in the background of most of his
pics ? He's hoping for a dinner date ? Thanx for the offer wingman but it's not my thing. -

Explanation to Superprecise - Had a 52cm paddy wagon for just over 2 years.Nice fit. Sold the paddy when I got the road bike as I wasn't riding the paddy anymore as the road was fun.Now using the road bike for the longer commute to work everyday (hills)but now want a non fussy, non precious bike to ride around in my (flat) district and to fart around on. Found a bashed up 70's Gazelle track but its a 50cm.Maybe abit small but didnt want to pass up the chance of a Gazelle track that might be right.Gonna try it out when it gets here (its being shipped) and if it doesn't fit right for the job I will pass it on to someone it does fit and go on the hunt again.
Hopes this clarifies things.

Just messin wit ya mate, a nice fitting bike is like a delicious piece of cake you don't want to stop eating,
it just begs you to come back for more.
If you're looking for a cheap ho to ride about town, I can highly recommend the Cotic Roadrat, lovely bike, nice and durable (steel), yet not too heavy, and very flickable (yet comfortable) ride, maybe a little more than you were initially considering spending, but a great bike for round town and general use and abuse, really happy with mine, currently running it fixed with a disc brake up front. -

chancer I got four bikes on the road. They all have their time in the sun (rain). The first two are my pride and joy, the second two are the ones I ride more and don't mind scratching etc.
*Old track bike 531SL built for the street with risers, light and fairly comfy considering how tight it is. For sunny days, high days and the shorter rides. The fun bike.
*Seventies 531DB road/audaxy thing which is the lighter geared one. Doesn't get out enough actually. Nice for the lanes and days out. I will hopefully get this out more next season.
*Fifties JRJ path (probably 531DB) which is the everyday fixed hack: mudguards, french bars, two brakes. Wonderfully comfy and not too heavy, considering.
*80s tourer 531 ST which is the everyday geared hack, mahoosive tyres, racks etc. Like riding a heavy cloud around, its so damn comfy. It's probably one too many.
