2009-12-20 - Christmas Ride - Bright lights and bright bikes

Ok, no route yet, but, I would be up for this. Sunday before Christmas, light your bike up, get the tinsel out, excessive decorations, mead and mulled wine.

Lets take in the lights of London. Oxford Street, covent garden, regent street, St Pauls, Piccadilly circus and Trafalgar Square all have lights to name a few.

I know these are all rather close, and I'm not exactly central in location so please, if you can think of a place to ride through with christmas lights, say so and I will make up a route if there is interest in the ride.

That ride was fucking brilliant! We should definitely do that again.

I can't make this one though, I think I fly out on the 19th.

er... i was going to be putting up london lights #2 in the next few days, a good few people have been asking me about it.. i was going to put it up a couple of weeks ago but then the docklands appeared so i was thinking about a date... it's not specifically a christmas ride.. so please don't use that as a template. mine's late at night anyway and isn't all about christmas, it just worked well at this time of year.

i was going to be doing it second week of december probably... but i'd like that route to be mine, i even went out late tonight and checked the first part of it again...!

This maybe a little previous, but are you wedded to the idea of the Sunday 20th December? I was floating an idea for a ride on the Saturday 19th, starting at the Christmas market at Somerset House. The theme was to be a Santa Ride, suggesting all riders dress in Father Christmas outfits.

I haven't started a thread on this as I've still got the Espresso Ride this Saturday. What do you reckon?
