London stockist of Sapim spokes?

Hello all.

building a wheel tomorrow and would really like to get hold of something mid/top range from Sapim spokes. Anyone know of anywhere in London that holds a good range/stock of these?

Barring this what would you recommend (that is in held in stock within the City)?

I think Condor stock them.

Evans on The Cut and Victoria have/had loads of black Sapim Race 50p a pop. i think BMMF was looking for CX ray cheap and local but with no luck.

BTW having scored some DA road hubs cheap I want CX-rays cheap now too.

Condor were fucking useless, or at least their special orders team were. I'm not knocking the workshop.

Meanwhile the suppliers are out of stock, so I've got some on back order with a proven retailer. Could be some time, but at least I'm not being fed some bullshit/empty promises in the meantime.

tokyofixedgear had them and I think BC might as well

Oh well, I'm going to sit and wait. Wheels won't be needed till March anyway…

I'll try BC, mosquito, TFG and BLB. In the event I can't find anything are there alternatives equally rated?

BLB uses them mostly, I´m getting my wheels tomorrow and they´re done with [strike]Sapim[/strike]Phil Wood.

Sigma sport did have CX-Rays a few weeks ago.

Total Cycling have them with next day delivery, but super dear.

planning on building some wheels in the next couple of days, what makes these sapim spokes so desirable compared to easy-to-find dt competition spokes?

Old_Blue_Eddy. Most of the handbuilt wheels used in Paris Roubaix use CX Rays, they're lighter and stronger (failure tested to 3.5 million revolutions) than any other spoke I've come across.

We have a selection of sapim at bc, haven't played around in it too much so I can't tell you off the top of my head what size of what we have.

aaand even the strength of the mid range, the Race, is quite superb. build me 2nd set with these coz my first set (shitty rims though) where torn apart+plus popped nipples. my vote for strong as could be spokes.

i got mine from condor, no nipples though, not even blank ones < not that i'd ever build blank nipples on ninja_black spokes, mate! not in that lifetime i'm not!
