if you want to illustrate that its barspinable you use a photo like this, not putting the bike together wrong.

obviously just a joke, no tyre on the spinergy innit
-
• #6131
or so eager to show off his hot bike there wasn't time for the tyre.

This shit is pretty damn wrong to the bone... WTF are they thinking?
it clearly was set up by someone who know nothing about bikes, but knows "fixies are kool"

Nearly all supermarket bikes are ridden with the fork in backwards (and usually with the V-brake cables unhooked), but this one manages a hat trick unique in my experience by getting all three components the wrong way round. It's so bad that the only thing which proves that it wasn't done this way as a knowing joke is that the toe clips are not reversed.

But it looks like some sort of professional/promotional pic...

That, I know whose bike it is..
-
• #6138
in that case, the charge and the pk are the most fucked up bikes ive ever seen.

who said I'm trying to jusified their attempt? I'm just saying that it's likely to just show the fork being barspinnable despite stupidly turn the stem the other way round.
-
• #6140
So, you are trying to say that someone would mount the bars, the stem and the brake lever back-to-front, just to show that you can barspin?
Turn it up, Ed. Why not, um, spin the bars 180 degrees? -
• #6141
I'm not saying that you pillock, I'm saying that the person who install the stem like that think it's the best way to show how barspinnable the bike is.
-
• #6142
And I am calling bullshit, you fucking sword swallower.
-
• #6143
Ed, whoever set the bike up has no fucking idea what they're doing.
It's not to show that the fork can barspin.
-
• #6144
I already love the picture! : D
-
• #6145
anti with a bit of porn
-
• #6146
Fucking hell and it's a pug! Really want to try that out.
To be honest, the only thing fail is the handlebar which appear to be just the taking of the piss.
-
• #6147
Maybe the rider is in one of those neck/back brace things that keep the arms out straight ahead and this was his solution to be able to still ride.
You would know Ed as you were giving out advice on one handed riding for a damaged shoulder :-)
-
• #6148
that weird handlebar really blows things out of proportion - bike looks like BMX ffs
needs a person standing next to it -
• #6149
Hah, well it's a sound advice really, my father did the same when he sprained his wrist at tennis (flip the drop bar upside down, lower saddle, etc.), my mother the same when she was in her twenties when she broke her collarbones (dutch bike).

It would be better without the Nexus-hub... :)
how is it even bar spinnable with that conspicuous rear brake cable, the most useful for a fixed gear bike.
