Well, I fixed the puncture in front of the theatre were they show the "Lion King" musical. Does that count as kitten related activity? Sacrificed the old inner tube to the Lion King?

http://static.londonfgss.com/memberpics4427-albums268-picture5600.jpgI thought I had a pretty good day at work, but at the first set of lights on Victoria St. on my ride home today the commuter gods chucked me a thunderbolt, turning me from happy cyclist to wobbling clown in seconds and a tedious tube journey home.
Would be nice to think it was the sheer power of my acceleration, but alas (like the owner) a bad case of aged fatigue seems more likely.....
Glad I just looked a twat than got hit by something though and its a weird fracture.

ace breakage!
I had to take the train today to an exam.
It reminded me why I cycle everywhere.
people's armpits really smell bad. -

Pulled out of the driveway right next to a fellow kiddie trailer towing cyclist. Tried to get him to race me, but he was'nt up for it. Boring cnut!
I had visions of a roman chariot style race. My nippa bombarding his, with pocket donald duck books. -

I heart Ahead stems.
Any scratches around the break area? Any signs of fatigue?

Got my first puncture while commuting on tuesday evening, bent nail right through the back tyre. Still after a year and a half and however thousands of miles cycled I think I’ll take it as a reminder of how lucky I’ve been rather than punishment.

Ha, I had one on tuesday. Sucked. Basically set of a couple of mornings, always thinking "I should really change those tyres". Then I come out of work, wanna cycle to the SE drinks swiftly but have to fix a flat first.
Replaced both outer tyres yesterday. I think I ran them for a year or so, and the front one seemed like a baked together mass instead of an inner and an outer tube. Snapped a tyre lever when trying to get it off the rim. The rear tyre had a 3cm long cut in there that I hadn't noticed, and holes over holes from glass splinters ... so yeah, better take care of the tyres every now and then!
Hey, do the polo people use tyres like that at all? Have like 4 tyres 700*25 at home, all used. Wonder if it's worth posting a freecycle ad, or if they should go straight in the bin.

Always a good idea to check over your tyres. Small sharpes can get imbedded and then work into the tube slowly, and cuts can grow slowly.
Road were unusually empty today (can't remember it being that quiet before), so even with the rain it was nice way to start the week. Doubt it will last though.
