  • Fucking gash Michelin "Orium" are WEAK. Skidded on it about 3 times in its entire life and it went bang at bank this morning, completely shredded through.

The only compensation for me being pissed off at such a piece of shit was the fact that all the suits thought it was a gunshot and crapped themselves.

Conclusion - do not buy this shite tyre.

  • I walked passed there this morning - im sorry i missed it. I was walking cause my tire gotted a flatten last night before i left for home and i forgot about it. Time to get a decent for both of us i guess.

  • Lol nice, you can blatantly see all the peds sniggering at us "hah, that'll teach you for riding a bike etc etc"

It was about 9.00am when the incident happened, annoying thing was i only had to skid coz a pissing bus pulled out on me.

Also another reason to get my new build on the road asap, having just a rear brake is getting old now... just a front is the way forwards!

  • The one piece of advice I recieved off of road riders and mtb riders, and fixie skidders alike, is never buy anything that has michelin stamped on the side ;)

  • I am getting a solid ring of adamantium as im tired of punctures! Plus the razor edge will cut through sniggering bankers...

  • as a guy in evans pointed out to me last most of the folding tyres are for racing and not great for london streets. if you want something puncture resistant for communiting, its worthwhile just taking the plunge and getting a gatorskin or armadillo (or maxxis re-fuse if can find them)

  • Or those super cool studded ones from norway!!! Like claws on a tiger against the skin!

    Armidillo - today - lunch

Nonsense. Oriums are cheep dogshit tires thats it. More like tyre choice fail.

    Michelin ftw.

yeah good call, just make sure you give yourself enough time to get it on, took a lot of screamin and sore fingers to get my new gatorskin on last night!

Bollocks. ProRace are great tyres and I never had issues with their cheaper options.

  • Yeah i reckon gatorskin at lunch today...

I'm not saying everyone shares these views, just the people i've spoken to :)

  • They must be morons then. :p Michelin's road tyres are superb, especially the Krylion and Pro Races.

  • I've never owned a road bike, hopefully next year, we'll see how it goes.....

Saved me typing it. My insultatron is running overtime around here.

  • pro race 3 are great

  • When I get a road bike i'll be running Vittoria tyres beatches :p

  • You have to be truly awesome to use those. Think you cut the mustard?

  • no you wont, you will realise that pro race 3's are a great fast, grippy tyre

you are the man who said he would never buy clipless pedals or lycra, so prepare to eat your keyboard

  • Michelin ftw.

    +1

    I love my Lithions

  • Armildilo is now on! Take that you stupid punctures!

Evans wanted to charge me £12 to fit them... Wow...

  • Evans, what a fucking joke. I went there at lunchtime but refuse to pay £25 for a bike tyre. £10 Decathlon special it is, won't be skidding anyway as my new build only has a front brake. Keep the pressure up around 110bar and i'm laughing.

  • twenty five englisch pounds for a tyre, outragreous, eh

  • Cheap tyres got you into this situation in the first place, noob

  • No, skidding on cheap tyres got me into this situation in the first place, however i would like to think that even a £10 tyre would hold up better than 3 skids in its entire life...
