  • Hold on, I need to get pictures of all the Bianchis I own.

  • Hold on, I need to get pictures of all the Bianchis I own.

Presumably, you don't own ten Bianchi Pistas but mean the many different incarnations your Pista has gone through?

  • What became of the Superprodigy Hippy?

I still have it. It's in storage at my parent's place in Oz along with the Avanti MTB, the NotAGibson track bike and the Peugeot road bike.

  • Pretty much the complete list of bikes that I have owned. I have all of them in various states of disrepair except the 2004 allez sport.

    • Old 1970s Peugeot Racer (in bits) - Have no fucking idea when or how this bike will ever be in one piece again. Frame currently sitting in my room waiting for a rattle can job.
    • Marin Bear-valley (nicked) - Frame was rebuilt with begged and borrowed bits, now my brother uses it as a beater. Fastest Mountain bike I have ever ridden.
    • Specialized Allez Sport 2004 (nicked) - Fucking loved this bike, was perfect.
    • Orbit - Now almost completely knackered, surprised it is still ridable, only good for riding down the pub and back.
    • Specialized Allez Elite
    • Shorter - Best bike I have owned. Fixed built on the cheap.
    • Marin Hawk Hill (current Beater)... grabbed this for £50 seemed a good buy at the time, but as I used it over the last 3 months it become a bit of a cash sink Once everything is working nice it will be alright.
  • Back when I used to ride as a kid...
Cannondale M400. Orginally set up for trials, moved on to dirt jump with some Z1's (in that cool orange)
PK ripper BMX. Bought it from Nige Page (Pro DH rider, lives round the corner from me) when I wanted a BMX. It was ace.

    Now.
    Raleigh track
Middleton geared from the early 80s
Soon to be silly aluminum lo pro trick thing

  • Presumably, you don't own ten Bianchi Pistas but mean the many different incarnations your Pista has gone through?

    bingo was his name-o.

althought in all seriousness, there's only 3 incarnations that it went through (one with original wheel, one is HHSB with blue stem, black wheels and road fork, (and right now is track fork and better front wheel), right now it's in the final one due to the new frame that due to arrived next week.

  • back in the 80's a Western flyer - loved that bike but wasn't allowed to ship back when i returned to England
Raleigh Burner - classic blue and yellow - died
Haro Bmx - no idea lost in transit at some point
some old White Falcon - died
Raleigh record sprint - gold and black FTW - old man got pissed with it taking up room and sold it :)
    Saracen Tuff Trax - nicked
PACE MTB - (classic Square tubing / hydraulic brake set) nicked - this upset me so much I stopped riding for quite a while
various shit heaps while i traveled etc
Now nice homemade singlespeed number - alu Orbit frame - keeps me going :)

  • In chronological order:

Early 60s Claud Butler five-speed road bike inherited from my dad (all the original bits too). Crashed horribly and wrecked the wheels and cranks. Now very rusty and resident in my dad's shed awaiting rebuilding.

    Crap Carrera MTB (nicked)

    Long bikeless gap.

Dahon Helios SL - Still have it, but it really needs a new rear wheel as the delicate Rolf is on its way out.

Flanders aluminium road bike with mixed Campag kit - eBay bargain, basically brand new from an MTB rider who'd bought it as a trainer but never really used it. Horribly over-stiff, so frame disposed of and all the kit put on new frame.

Orbit Photon steel audax frame bought for peanuts when Orbit went bust - built up with bits from the Flanders. Fairly quickly got lovely, lovely Campag Proton wheels: http://velospace.org/node/4236

Dave Yates course. Built a relaxed road bike in fillet-brazed 631 (audaxy geometry but without mudguard braze-ons and all that stuff): http://velospace.org/node/11956

Fuji Track (nicked). Fantastic thing for the money, I thought. All the money's in the frame where it should be.

Fuji Track #2 on way from Biddle providing they haven't vanished.

Chronologically apt for the past few years....
    Before this:
My first Bike was a GT, we still have it.
Then I went to MTBs, having a Spesh of some sort whilst living in California, and a Mongoose followed by a Giant followed by a Giant, which was stolen in Oxford, followed by a Giant again. During the last few years of school I also had a basic Bianchi roadie, which covered many, many miles.
I have yet to own any bike made of carbon.
Aluminium was my choice of material until my first fixed.
    and bump

  • Raleigh Buster - small kids bike, was wicked actually

Oh, I was a proud owner of the Fuji Track Pro 2008 somewhere between Snoops and Hael :-)

  • I am by no means an N+1 "collector" of bikes. Have what I need. Currently

Cervelo Soloist - I love this bike.
IRO Mark V - I ride the piss out of this as a single speed with one brake and a upright posture.
Waterford 2800 Track - Fixed. Beauty.
Clifcat Tankass - Small MTB for fun stuff.
plus a few beaters for friends, etc.

I've had lots of others. Schwinn Homegrown, Fujis, GTs S&M, Head... not including the odd beaters.

  • Small red baby Falcon BMX: (my first bike... I was 3, the addiction starts here)
full size BMX: (black and silver... respray never new the name)
    Raleigh Burner:
Falcon Colorado: dog of a steel frame with crap clearances, stupidly slack head-tube angle and a suntour groupset but got me into MTB's seriously
Kona Kilauea: first real bike, had a front end so twitchy it almost killed me on some Malvern singletrack
Orange Clockwork: Pace forks, alas not suspension, nice little XC frames these
Rock Lobster: forget the frame but massive fun, my first dual slalom setup
GT Zaskar x 3: killed 2 frames, snapped the head-tube off the first with a pair of Judy tripple-tree DH forks and snapped the weld on the seat stays on the second, GT replaced both the failed frames for free, which was nice of them :D
Second Orange Clockwork: budget build from spares in my garage, second hand frame this time with a pair of project 2 forks, got stolen outside DeMontford uni. got a payout on insurace much larger I spent on building it
Specialized Rockhopper A1FS Comp: was my courier bike for a year. London killed the suspension forks, still in bits in my parents garage
Specialized 415 BMX: heavy as all fuck but fun little knockabout
    My no-name fixie/singlespeed conversion
