anodizing can only be done to aluminium, and aluminium doesn't corrode. Unless you're riding through hydrochloric acid.
er, silver is just a colour? Unless goldtec have started making their track hubs out of ACTUAL silver, which i doubt somehow. If you polish untreated steel, it will rust with exposure to water. If you polish aluminium, it will dull because it develops a satin layer of aluminium oxide on exposure to oxygen. Chrome tends to stay shiny, as does stainless steel.
