well i was getting a new sprocket fitted and the ginger guy (dont know his name) was tightening the lock ring then all of a sudden it just spun and his first words were "oh shit" lol. i didnt follow up with the problem because i was converting to free wheel at the time so wasnt really too bothered. i know now il never go back to 14... ever lol

To be fair to 14, that may not be their fault. If the person who put the lockring and sprocket on before hadn't greased it well, then removing those could have stripped the threads a little and left it in a bad way for the new stuff to be put on. There's loads of things that can surface as an issue long after the actual mistake was done.

i bought the wheel build as a package and they fitted the sprocket at the same time.. i cant say for certain who's fault it is but god knows and he will punish those responsible lol.
i have been told by blb that a new outer shell can be bought through them if your determined to go fixed lol -

Why would anyone do that tho'? Can't see it being much cheaper than buying a new hub... Bummer of a thing to have happened tho', no matter who's fault it was... I recently stripped a Phil... Mega-bummer... :[

Why do you doubt it was BLB?
Because if there is one thing we do do, it put copper grease on anything we can. We really like copper grease.
Irrespective, if there was a reason to get a fix/fix Phil this is it.

Phil Wood 36 hole black fixed/free hub, it has a 17 tooth shimano freewheel fitted but the lockring thread on the fixed side is damaged (thanks to a member of 14 bike co staff) hence the low price £60
fiju track forks from a 2005 model, 1"threaded crown to race length 165mm almost perfect apart from 2 tiny marks on one of the legs. £30
Condor front black brake caliper, brand new never fitted £15
dia comp "gold finger" black 1 finger brake lever brand new never fitted £7
