Server scrapped all the posts but to recap...
Whilst the CT-80 stem may seem a little flash and pricey, it is in fact a fine piece of machinery. Failing that get a bespoke one made.

might as well spend similar money on a custom stem, like the lugged one that 14 Bike offered (cost £120, choice of length and tubing).

I really like the look of the CT-80 but wonder how reliable the single bolt fastener is.
there is a distinct lack of nice and shiny threadless stems around. But the nitto's price seems to be ott, it is just a stem, of all the pieces of bike equipment, not sure if it warrants such an outlay. My choice would be the velo orange stem, beautiful well priced and has 4 screws to keep bars in place.

Had a search through previous threads and couldn't see one like this but apologies if I'm doubling up on posts.
Has anyone tried either of these? Nitto UI5GX Stem or Nitto Stem Fillet CT-80, just wondered whether either of these was particularly rated?
I really like the look of the CT-80 but wonder how reliable the single bolt fastener is.
