The idea of ultimate cameras came to light on the Tilt-Shift thread.
Disregarding digital cameras (obviously, given the subject matter of this thread), what's your choice(s)?
Mine are:
35mm:
Olympus OM-1n (main)
Olympus OM-3 (back up); OM-3Ti (2nd back-up); or
Pentax KX (main); Ricoh KR 5 Super (2nd main)
Pentax MX (back up); or
Leica R6.2 (main)
Leica R6 (back up)
120/MF:
Rollei SL66, or
Pentacon Six TL, or
Mamiya C330
All fully mechanical. Olympus and Rollei are my top choices, but the others are okay-ish.
EDIT:
If I were to choose cameras with any auto functions, they would only be these:
Leica R8 or
ContaxRTS III or
Rollei6008
