  • what was the consensus with this? did we sort a pub out? is anyone still interested?

  • I don't know if we've sorted out a pub yet.

  • oh god. is this like the se drinks affair?

but we're still on for going / meeting?
can you remember what we decided?

  • I can't remember anything from the last five days. They never happened.

I'm going along to CM and as usual I'll just see where it takes me. Depends on what people I happen to bump into want to do. Quite often it's off to the Foundry afterwards.

It clashes with the Halloween Alleycat tonight, so chances are they won't have started that yet when people decide to peel off CM.

  • might pop along for a ride.. need to pop home first to get a jumper & coat and bite a goat's cheese sandwich

  • **Critical Mass is a monthly cycle ride around london, without a preplanned route, meet at 6pm for 7pm start outside National Film Theatre under Waterloo bridge last friday of every month.
    **
    Next ride: Friday 27th November

who is going to critical mass?

  • Me getting there 6:30ish

  • perhaps me, although i haven't managed to make it yet.

i think skully said he was, so i'm going to look out for him because i know what he looks like.

  • i will be there, crimson steamroller, black helmet.

  • glasses

  • i've decided against it and am going to the pub instead.

  • Yellow geared 531 beater, white Bern Watts helmet, front celeste deep-v.

  • My bike is broke...
Sad to miss a haloween critical mass!

  • Think im a comin down to Cm.
Red raleigh team with yellow head tube and shite cranks.

  • i left early, pretty nice. some guy with a chainsaw mask jumped at a woman on a bus who was quite shocked. i think i saw that what a babe! bike...pix later

  • hey, gutted not to have been there. next time.
do you mean "pretty nice" as in 'niceness, ruff, rude, bwoy'?
cos other wise no one will go again if they think its just 'nice'
what about the corking?, insane motorbikers?, heads on dub playing pedal powered sound systems? ...........

  • turns out its not the babe.

i mean it was fine, i haven't been on one before and found it a bit slow. quite a few sound systems, didn't see any incidents, just horns beeped.

  • tonight was ok. havent been in a few years & shocked there wasnt any oldBill around..
Good incident with some Guy in a Van calling everyone a Cunt..
    Now and again its fun...

  • right before it even went at the NFT i rode over a bollard that was down, almost flipped the bars, knee to stem, puncture. the hole was at the valve and some nice italian called david (glasses, beard, surly steamroller, not on here), gave me a spanner and an inner tube.

did seem a bit weird, RLJing all over the shop, corking seemed a good idea tho. also people randomly shouting shit not well thought out sentences - such as someone who shouted at a guy in a car with a bike on the back "get your bike off your car and join us! join us!!!"

  • Thanks for restarting this thread damo. It's annoying that a new thread gets started most months, this can be the everlasting thread ... servers permitting.

I failed to go, anyway. family bidniz. Bah.

It would be good to arrange a meet up for afterwards. As there are friday drinks popping up randomly at the moment, maybe we could decide to go to those, and a default pub if there's no pop-up one... maybe the Roebuck!? Or Lamb... Just not the bloody Foundry thanks.

  • hmm.. the lamb...!! I have fixed my bike and now can come out drinking again!!

  • right, well we have a whole month in which we can plan where to go for a drink. i'm sure the power of the interweb, democracy and procrastination will allow us time to decide.

  • I will ask VB to merge this and the other one (damo's relaunch of my one started in the Lost 5 Days) if that's OK? Trying to keep a single CM thread going for London, too many CM threads and confusingly titles ones for B'ham and Manc. That way we can just hook up / share stories / whatever in the same place each month...

I never made it in the end. Good to hear it seemed mostly OK this month. @kevinsays ... yes isn't it different now the Old Rozzer aren't coming along any more? We need to be careful of getting more involved in friction as the uniformed police aren't there ... I sometimes wonder if any APs might be lurking...

cheers, hopefully see some people in November.
