Thats looks to be the carrier for a Miche cog. You will need to borrow a Miche splined cog and a 1/8 chainwhip to remove or submit to Miche as your cog overlord and just buy one.

Not sure you need a chain whip for Miche cogs as it slots into male/female thingy.??
Just need a lockring tool, am i wrong?? -

Yes. A lockring tool will 'probably' not grip the circular grooves properly. You're better off throwing on a miche cog, loosely fitting a lockring and then using a whip or rotafix to loosen the carrier. Then you can take off the lockring, cog and undo the carrier by hand.

Thanks for the help guys.
Guess I might as well get a miche cog and then change with the other one I've bought, depending on whether or not I like the ratio. -

Didn't want to start a new thread so jumping in here. I've been looking on line for the inside diameter of a track cog and haven't found it yet. Anyone have a rough idea how big it is? Looking to use them to drive a robot for a uni project.
big thanks

mine is about 6,5mm...
I've just recieved a used Halo Aerorage Wheelset off eBay, and there appears to be a sort of silver ring on the cog threads, on the fixed side of the hub.
Can anyone tell me what this is, and what I might need to get it off ?
Thanks !
PS: I've tried searching, but have no idea exactly what I'm searching for...
