Strange moment this morning: when the lights at the North side of Waterloo Bridge changed most people gunned it across, but a few unwisely threw on the anchors causing those behind to brake hard and ride up the back of them. I had a clear line through and heard the usual wtfs etc in the aftermath, but one woman actually shouted clear as a bell at another "cor blimey eliza, why'd you go and stop there for?!"

Also 3 different roadies have told me 'nice bike' this week, after 6 months of nadda, so I guess cheap/hideous blue rubino pros are officially a compliment magnet now.

A brigade of policemen at the big junction half way down the mall on RLJ watch.
I got half way across the junction before I noticed them (they were cunningly disguised as day glow commuters), braaaake, casual trackstand... whistling the Great Escape...

Noticing their stern gesture to come hither, I gave a lighthearted "good evening chaps!" and promptly got a fine.

Someone I thought looked a bit like adoubletap on Roseberry Avenue on Wed or Thu evening (I lose track) just after 7pm. But it's not his neck of the woods, so I'm probably mistaken.

I was edging across from a side road, and paused to let you (probably not adoubletap) continue unabated.

Don't ever try and cycle off if a police officer call you out, very likely that they'll give chase, what's the point? trying to avoid a fine that you've received for knowingly breaking the law?

Spotted nick, tonight on his fecking lovely baby blue Katana (honest). Good to meet you mate on our short ride heading south on the OKR.

For anybody else interested, nick's bike was well jammy, with shiny black Phil hubs, black H+Sons front and back, and he also rode and
skidded like a champion. When I asked if he was on this forum, he said yes, but only for when he's thinking of upgrading stuff. I introduced
myself as GA2G, and he said...."GAGS, yeah I know you, I've used one of your lists for upgrades".

He's the 3rd person to call me GAGS, after snowy_again, and murtlechops. Its funny.

Anyway, that boy does throw one helluva long and wavy skid! Impressive.

He wasn't at all impressed that I didn't ride fixed though, and had to hide his chagrin at my Bowery. Nevermind. :)

Apparently his lady rides fixed also, and her bike is a Soma Pake or a Soma Rush. Nice.
