I was discharged yesterday from hospital, and am relieved to be home. I had the best sleep last night, great not to be woken up at 2am for a blood pressure check. I also have re-discovered that food albeit in liquidised form actually has taste.
The docs are very happy with the way the op went and for my recovery so far. The swelling is beginning to subside little by little.
Just wanted to say thank you to everyone for their support, kind thoughts, gestures, and visits to my bedside, even though I may not have been the easiest thing to look at in recent days.
Also I guess I need to say thanks to the forum, which makes the organisation of such support possible, but which is ultimately nothing without the individuals who make it so great.
