Just need a bit of advice - i like the look of the frames you have around the £50 price mark (+ postage) but im not 100% on what size. I am 5'10 but i like fairly compact frames especially on the road. I quite like the corsair one and would but the forks offered with it too. I assume, from looking at the forks on these bikes, none of them have pedal overlap with the front wheel?
Cheers. Tried to send a email but only just signed up so i dont know if it worked.

Hello Hilarystone,
I live in Bristol and want to buy or build up a fixed wheel road/touring bike with a 21' frame and some degree of comfort and stability. Would it be possible to visit you and see what you have to offer?
Thanks, Hugh

Oh no, just tried to PM but it turns out i'm still in the 'nursery' so cant yet! I will have to use this for now! I'm new to this (obviously), have just gone dibs on the ken bird frame. Could you email me back to let me know how i go about paying you! Secondly, I will be building it into a hack bike for london. Will probably be buying new weeks, but will gather the rest of the kit from ebay etc. Do you have any kit for this frame? I'd be keen on a seatpost/stem & posibly crank set...
Kind regards, Tom

** If you dib an item, please PM me and pay the same day unless you make other arrangements with me. **
ALL ITEMS ARE IN BRISTOL; viewing/collection is most welcome. Payment can be via bank transfer (preferred), cheque or the dreaded Paypal which costs me 3%…

KEN BIRD ROAD FRAME 1970s
Seat Tube (ctt): 61cm (24in)
Top Tube (ctc): 57cm (22.5in)
Rear dropout width: 120mm
Wheel size: 27in/700C
Frame tubing: Reynolds 531 forks, unknown on frame
Brake drop with 700C/Sprint wheel: 64mm
This frame sold by Ken Bird was probably built by Holdsworthy and is from the early 70s. It would make a great singlespeed/fixed conversion with its horizontal dropouts without a gear hanger. £45 SOLD
BILL HANNINGTON AUDAX/RANDONNEUR FRAME c1980
Seat Tube (ctt): 51cm (20in)
Top Tube (ctc): 52cm (20.5in)
Rear dropout width: 122mm
Wheel size: 700C
Frame tubing: Vitus 980
Brake drop with 700C/Sprint wheel: 53mm
Bill Hannington was a small framebuilder baseed near Reading in Berkshire. This extremely nice little frame is in excellent condition with excellent paint (just a very small number of tiny marks) features Thanet like Hellenic seatstays except that that they are not connected to the seat tube - on a small frame such as this it gives a lot more room for a saddlebag as a well as a distinctive appearance. £135
ROTRAX SUPERCOURSE FRAME 1953
Seat Tube (ctt): 53cm (21in)
Top Tube (ctc): 56cm (22in)
Rear dropout width: 115mm
Wheel size: 27in/700C
Frame tubing: Reynolds 531 DB
Brake drop with 700C/Sprint wheel: 58mm
This is a very beautiful Rotrax frame which is thought to be the Supercourse model - the normal long points on the head lugs would not not be possible on a small frame such as this. In every other respect it has all the Supercourse details - the wonderful reinforced pump pegs, the most elegant rear brake bridge ever etc - and it has the remains of its elaborate original finish featuring both white and yellow box lining! It does however I think need refinishing... The frame is in very sound condition, the seatstays have a few small dents from a saddlebag support but nothing which cannot be easily filled. A wonderful frame. £165 SOLD
PETE LUXTON ROAD FRAME Reynolds 531 SL late 70s
Seat Tube (ctt):52cm (20.5in)
Top Tube (ctc): 55.5cm (21.75in)
Rear dropout width: 120mm
Wheel size: 27in/700C
Frame tubing: Reynolds 531SL
Brake drop with 700C/Sprint wheel: 47mm
Pete Luxton built quite a number of frames near Exeter in Devon mostly for family and friends... This frame was built from Reynolds 531 SL in the late 70s for I believe his daughter in the late 70s. The fittings on the rear stays are for a saddle bag support. The paint is in a very poor condition but the frame is otherwise sound. £45 **SOLD **
LEMOND BUENOS AIRES Reynolds 853 2003
Seat Tube (ctt):58cm to top of seat tube 56cm to top of top tube
Top Tube (ctc): 56cm (22in)
Rear dropout width: 130mm
Wheel size: 700C
Frame tubing: Reynolds 853
Brake drop with 700C/Sprint wheel: 45mm
This Lemond Buenos Aires Reynolds 853 frame is in excellent condition and comes complete with a Cane Creek headset with its original Carbon forks. These Lemond frames received rave reviews when new. £125 **SOLD **
RALEIGH SILHOUETTE MIXTE FRAME
Seat Tube (ctt):55cm (21.5in)
Top Tube (ctc): 56.5cm (22.25in)
Rear dropout width: 120mm
Wheel size: 27in/700C
Frame tubing: Raleigh Carbon steel
Brake drop with 700C/Sprint wheel: 62mm
This Raleigh Silhouette mixte frame is in very sound condition and will make a great city bike. £29 **SOLD **
RALEIGH TEAM REPLICA 1986
Seat Tube (ctt):56cm (22in)
Top Tube (ctc): 55cm (21.5in)
Rear dropout width: 125mm
Wheel size: 700C
Frame tubing: Reynolds 531C
Brake drop with 700C/Sprint wheel: 45mm
This Raleigh is a Team Replica frame originally built for export to the USA - a US order was cancelled and a number were sold in the UK. It is 531C throughout and has Campag dropouts. Its in very good/excellent condition, the paint needs just a little bit of touching up. The bottom bracket is included but the headset is not included. £95 **SOLD **
RALEIGH 1987
Seat Tube (ctt): 60cm (23.5in)
Top Tube (ctc): 55.5cm (22.25in)
Rear dropout width: 125mm
Wheel size: 700C
Frame tubing: Reynolds 531 DB main tubes
Brake drop with 700C/Sprint wheel: 45mm
This Raleigh dates from 1987 - it takes a 27.2mm seatpost and I think has Reynolds 531 DB main tubes. Its in very sound condition and would make an excellent singlespeed/fixed conversion. £49 **SOLD **
CARLTON CORSAIR Reynolds 531 DB main tubes
Seat Tube (ctt): 55cm (21.5in)
Top Tube (ctc): 57cm (22.5in)
Rear dropout width: 122mm
Wheel size: 700C
Frame tubing: Reynolds 531 DB main tubes
This Carlton dates from 1980 - it takes a 27.2mm seatpost and has Reynolds 531 DB main tubes. There are no forks with it. I can supply a suitable pair of forks to go with it for £20. The paint is a bit scruffy but still useable; otherwise its in very sound condition and would make an excellent singlespeed/fixed conversion. £35 SOLD
COUGAR VENOM
Seat Tube (ctt): 55cm to top of seat tube, 52.5cm ctc
Top Tube (ctc): 53cm (21in)
Rear dropout width: 130mm
Wheel size: 700C
Frame tubing: DEDACCIAI 18MCDV6
Brake drop with sprint/700C wheels: 41mm
This Cougar frame is from the late 1990s and almost certainly built by Venom is a really lovely frame - the rear wishbone seatstays are in the very distinctive Venom style which make for an extremely stiff rear end. The horizontal dropouts means that it is suitable for singlespeed/fixed conversion. £95 **SOLD **
