Bus and Cycle Lanes now just Bus Lanes?

Anyone else noticed this?

The Bus and Cycle Lanes on the Bristol Road (A38) up by the new Acadamy (old Dome) have now had the Cycle logo blacked out, same on the other slip road on the other side, does that mean we're not supposed to use it?

its not a regular route of mine so I havent seen this. could they be updating the logo? our council likes to do stuff tht doesnt need doing and not doing the stuff that does!

OR they actually don't want cyclists using it, in which case f*** 'em.

They might be repainting as a lot of them are fading. I reported one on Stratford Road they redid the bike but not the green box.

The Bus Lane has been repainted, but they have actually gone to the trouble of blacking over the cycle logo, the other side of the road has been retarmaced, bus logo, but no cycle log....really strange

Those painters aren't too bright. Saw them paint Bus St then had to cover the St and write Lane as it was not at the bus stop.

Can you photo it? Google maps shows how it was.

I think the pavement is going to be (part of it already is) dual purpose cycle and footway...

I did take some photo's on the way in - not great as it also shows how the bus lane has been altered, but they have re-done the Bus and left off the Cycle logo further up the road.

I should have taken a photo on the way back on the other side of the road, but it was 7pm, dark, wet...

I will do it on Monday, do my bit and send them off to Cycling@Birmingham.gov.uk (thanks lessismore)

yeah i ride this road everyday. i did notice this too. same as mastershredder said:

If they are updating the logo they're taking their time!
