My rear wheel always creeps forward slowly in the dropouts, I did have one of those MKS tugs on but did not like the way it spread the dropout slightly.
Instead I now usually undo the nuts, roll up part of the Sunday paper, jam it between the wheel and the frame and tighten the nuts up. Then blow up the tyres, oil the chain etc.
Sunday maintenance with a cup of coffee, and it means that I don't get "slack chain- hah! hah!" comments.
