there's the thing, if it bend, chance are it'll bend the downtube as well as likely to damaged the lug, and who know, the headtube end up bending to the point that the front wheel touch the downtube and instantly flip the rider over the bar catapulting a simple £75 repair to a £200 (estimate) repair or worse, beyond repair.

a bit of an unlikely situation, but still.
