I have quite a bit of overhang with my lockring. In fact a totally needed a chain whip to get the cog on as tight as poss to give the lock ring just that extra half turn to hold. I have spacers on my hub to get the correct chainline, but it does mean that good ole lock ring is seriously hanging on there! That said, i haven't had any probs since 3months or so, so seems good!
Thought i'd just get my two pence worth in there ;)
