it's just difficult to comprehend the grouping of fat people called the Size Acceptance Movement, an organisation that would have been unthinkable when I was at school, have actually come to the point of lobbying government for discrimination legislation.
The fights that have gone before for Race Equality, Women's Rights, Age Rights, Disability Rights were very long fought and related to a personal characteristic that could not be changed and didn't have related health risks and that is why this article seemed so ridiculous to me.
The rate of obesity in the UK is still on the rise and the power of such a loby could increase. I suspect that when the Government of the day decides that they have cracked the Smokers they will turn thier attentions to the FAT.. look out for taxes on fattenning food sooner rather than later. This will be done using the urgument of costs to the NHS from obese citizens.
