  • I've spend most of today on iStock picture researching, in between reading about the stockwell toilet watch thread, too good, and there are no suitable images it seems. So I thought I'd open it up to the forum and any photographers who may have something.

I'm a graphic designer and I'm doing a book cover called City Life. I need a photo suitable for the cover that is a cityscape without any distinguishable buildings as it's about global western cities, and that has an activity that typifies or encapsulates life in the city, so perhaps cafe culture or a festival. If it features full face shots of people then model release must be obtained, same with any shots of graffiti work.
I can pay a small fee plus credit and url on the cover.

    Cheers.

  • small fee? i'm in.

  • Check Flickr...

  • Something like this?

  • You can use this for £600

  • Crispin are you willing to break? My cock needs a new pair of legs. How much do you want for them and are they NJS?

  • Will give you more brief tonight Charco if you're interested.
Tight deadline though btw. Like end of the week ish.

Not quote rounce. Cityscape, activities, typify, blahdywankblah.

    Off to Flikr, again.

  • you could use this? It's public domain & very very 'urban'.

  • ha ha Crispin for mayor. Charco for king.

  • I'm not like the point of focus on that. Eyes are drawn right to the ballsacks.

  • What's wrong with the ballsack angle? "I think we should make the logo bigger, and y'know make it pop a bit!"

Back on topic, any of these? (Got agreement to use as I wish on the day from most people in the shots)

Intent on repaying you for those geary bits, it saved a friend a hard ride home just that evening!

  • Ballsacks ain't my thing.

Nice Rounce, very nice. Including police would add a political angle that isn't what the book is about, but I'll have a play with No. 11 if I may and see what they (marketing cnuts and Editorial fucknuckles) have to say.

    Keep them coming though.

  • Got a load more at home, I'll trawl the library for suitable shit when I get in.

  • Coolio. Nothing too bleak, Colour would be good too.

  • This sounds like it's fit your bill

  • Cheers Tom, thanks for looking.
It can't have any distinguishable landmarks in it though.

  • Use a photo of Romford; there's fuck all there.

  • Damn, rummaging on flickr is addictive.

    I love this picture.

Never seen that before, it is a fantastic bit of thing, I love the legs, quite brilliant.

Nothing in Romford? Well there's this

  • Alright I'll give you that and the covered market.

  • Tom, love your work, that first one is fantastic! I'd love to use that on a cover.
Sadly they're not right for this project as they don't really typify city life. The books about the inner workings of life in the city, so transport, cultured, the social aspect. So it needs to be bustling but not too busy for the viewers eye, and some negative space for text.
    Great compositions though, very nice.
PM if you want more info.
    Cheers.
