Thanks all. Instead of summoning the ire of the good members here by trying to unload less than OK gear, I decided to donate it back to my LBS who's rebuilding one of my wheels.
Looking at it, those teeth look somewhat 'shark fin' to me. I thought it might be a design thing! Wishful thinking.
