New brooks...

did anyone get over to the eurobike show this year?
just checking out some pictures from the brooks stand looks like there are some new colour ways coming out.
anyone seen anything else about these??

They've developed a new white leather brooks swallow that has special treated leather that won't absorb dye from jeans or other leking fabrics.

That ponyskin one looks really uncomfortable.

The Ostrich skin, brushed suede and laser etched mustard leather are going to be nice though.

I'm unsure on the ones made from dragon wings.

I first looked up a bog standard B17, old price = £39.00. New price = £69.88.

I have seen some pretty inflated prices in shops lately, but if you shop around on google for about five seconds ... here's a B17 Special for £48:

The prices on the actual Brooks website are bonkers anyway, as in completely wrong. Ignore them. Up until about a month ago you could get a B17 for £35 at SJS.

Just checked. They've got the B17 at £45 on SJS. Reasonable, but it can't be too long before they're in line with the official website.

The one made from Dragon wings look pretty sweet in my opinion, i hear there making the Rails from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adamantium also.

That's nice but stussy have so taken there eye off the ball in terms of fashion.

my swift arrived in the post today, along with two lfgss t shirts, some bar tape and some levers.
i'm super happy.

Can anyone help with me choosing between the B17 Champion Special, B17 Narrow or the Team Professional.....price differences aren't too bad especially from good old SJS

The Brooks pricing is crazy - like someone mentioned above, not so long ago a Swft Ti sold for around the 70-80 mark - I've got two of them - but 200 now is over 100% price increase and whilst I love them, in the end it's a piece of leather fairly simply shaped over a metal frame. I love the fact they are British and that they are made traditionally but 200? Better to spend that on a pair of Trickers - English made, shaped leather and you get two.
