Again, you are just baldly asserting this without offering up any reason to those who disagree.
If you are going to simply state unqualified ideas out of context then we might as well - for example in the middle of a debate on racism - state: 'Racist beliefs/traditions must be respected' (if that was our view).
If the above statement was put forward by a Nick Griffin type character would you take it on it's own merit - or ask him why he thought racist beliefs/traditions must be respected ?
So . . can you tell me why you believe religion should be respected ?
And what do you mean by the word 'respect' - how are you using it in this context ?
Do you mean to say (using a dictionary definition of 'respect') that religious belief must be 'admired' ?
