  • Shame I cant make it, would be good to get out a bit more on the "new" bike.

  • you are allowed to ride it around your area though, your dad told me.

  • True, but I'm in Newbury now with the fixed only, no space for any more bikes :'(
Commuting an hour each way on it though so it's getting plenty of use!

  • you are allowed to ride it around your area though, your dad told me.

Firstly my Dad is the lord of cycling in Poole and Bournemouth... if he decrees that you are a fanny ass biatch on recumbrent while riding a Coppi Racer that is his judgement. He already told you to get a proper bike when he saw that birdie.

In further updates to the state of cycling here .. more gay boy cycling lanes are being painted which means I have more places where I have to avoid nodders .. and Ashley Road is becoming a sort of Death Valley on a cycle home from the pub ... no shit almost twice now I have had chavvies giving me shit on my bike and another biatch almost took me out today throwing a bottle at me on the way home, luckily riding 55 GI has it avantages ... If they released the 18% super lager I dream about most of these chavvies would die of alcohol poisoning and would not bother me at 2300 on the route back home.

Matybe I should start a really shit blog about my ride to work and maybe include some pics of the twat who always parks his 4wd in the cycle lane just outside of westbourne.

  • Well I had a nice cycle through Meryick Park on the way home. You need to move out of Cacker town man.

Seriously 2 instances of 4 Chavs having a fight on the way home in the middle of the road in the last week ... going to bring weaponry next wednesday for the ride home.

  • Next Saturday .. Major Roadie Pain Ride all invited, give me a PM before Saturday 10am, and I will try to make arrangements for a meet up.

Also Cycling film on at the Lighthouse in poole called "Les Triplettes de Belleville". Anyone wants to see it ... give me a PM or something or alternatively give the eternally friendly M.F a PM by tuesday ... if there are a few other turning up we will have a few beers afterwards down the quay.

It about a Tour De France Cyclist that is abducted by the mafia.... kind of. Lots of animated madness and giggles (I have seen it before).

  • *This Saturday :)

  • lets get a good ride in tommorrow, Im up for a long day in the saddle.

  • b.t.w,
first bike polo going on sunday, very likely going on the beater for a laugh,
Wozza from sick fixie advertising. has mallets and all for us, just bring a good attitude and backward circle riding skills ;-)

  • Newbie to whole scene, riding singlepeed (haven't ventured into the lunacy of fixed as yet) keen to get an idea of what might be going on in the Bournemouth area and get some good routes under my belt, from the threads looks a might exclusive!

  • hello!, not exclusive, we just like to ride bikes, 50+miles, sometimes geared, sometimes fixed, sometimes s/s. today going out to Lulworth via Studland, Corfe, Swanage round trip. Maybe you will build up some stamina before coming on one of these.
If youre more into trying polo- first session organised by Wozza tommorrow. 12 p.m in Boscombe.??

  • We're going to Blandford today I think...

Whereabouts are you Gunney? Seen a few SS/Fixed locked up in town recently.

Nah, not exclusive. It's just that most of the people on this thread (lucas, pifko, *m.f, me) know each other and bring jokes etc. from rides/drinks onto the forum.
Go along on the ride and hopefully you'll meet some nice people. Just don't mention zen to lucas!

  • How's Newbury Davy? You on Skype?

  • Yeah going ok, riding 17miles each way to work is taking it's toll on me legs though! Not on skype I'm afraid. How's everything in Bournemouth?

  • Trying to put together a new beater at the moment. The seat tube of the Banana snapped at the bottom bracket so I got a quant little (well it's actually quite big) 531 Gents utility bke from that 2nd hand bike shop in Boscombe for £50. Don't know if I can be bothered to 'Fix' it...

  • Thanks guys already feeling a good vibe. I'm in Moordown and getting increasingly hacked off by the ride into town along Winton high street. is it me,have I suddenly become invisible to all forms of powered transport ? (I'm not a zealot as I too drive a car) would love to join a ride soonish but do need to build the stamina, tried one or two fairly simple inclines over the last couple of days! really need to get some serious work outs in.

yeah that’s a fairly shitty stretch of road.only way to deal with it is to ride the speed of traffic or faster. you know how to filter right?

  • Hate Winton High St. Especially on a Saturday morning when the dregs come out of Lidl (I'm not slagging off Lidl!). When I lived in Moordown I used to take the side streets to get into town.

I'm currently without a fixed gear at the moment due to:

  • nice crack dude!!(dont read that wrong)
did you know there was 245 beech trees on the left side of the Bradbury rings road -yesterday? I counted them all in a zen trance(actually it wasnt a trance because we stopped to wait for Luke in his alcoholic state), so imagine how many there is in total-wow thats a lot of Beeches, nearly as many as Snoop Dogg has.

anyway, today. really good laugh playin bike polo over Boscombe--definately do that again, top laugh. Big up Wozza for organising. check http://www.bournemouthfixedgear.com/ btw Wozza 'welcome' has only 1 'l' :-)

spotted---2 fixie pixies on nice looking bikes as I left the seashore coming back to Poole-was it you>?

  • I think Luke and I may have spotted some guys carrying polo mallets along Christchurch road on out way back from town. Someone had a nice old blue and white conversion.

Almost finished converting the new Raleigh. Need to break out the cordless drill - It's bodge time!

  • bodge time, pull out your phillies,
    oh sorry wrong song..........
