Powdercoat has a more limited range of colours compared to wet spray, by as you only need a white - it is definitely the way to go.
If you are after a 'strong hard wearing coat' nothing really comes close to powdercoating, it is tough as old boots, go and look at the white finish on your fridge/washing machine, that right there is powdercoating.
You also have the advantage of speed, wet spray will need a few days - at least - to cure, even then it will not be fully hardened for weeks - with powdercoating the frame is coated in powder using an electrostatic gun then baked in an oven . . so you can drop your frame off in the morning and - if you ask them nicely - pick it up in the evening with a super tough coating.
