seriously every time I see his face it confirms that I would gladly punch him in the face and face the assault charges with a smile on my face.

I spent an afternoon in Bethnal Green police station in '87 for threatening John Tyndal (Griffin's predecessor) with a chair and punching one of his minions.
I was let of with a caution, but even if I'd been prosecuted I'd be happy to do the same again.

I don't think it makes sense to join 'individually'. However an organised 'trashing' of the BNP might might be a good idea.
The idea, posted above, that this will drive racist organisations underground is, I think, spurious ( the BNP's overtly racist stuff is already underground).
Would it not be fun to turn up at a conferece and pass a motion of no confidence in the MEPs?
