Why have you not been on a bike in years?! :O
I haven't been able to ride mine for just under a week and it's killing me!I really don't know. It's just been that way. Haven't had a need but now I thought, I NEED something to do when I'm bored and for gettin to work. Moved to shifts and the buses suck in Glasgow.
My pedals are clicking under load for some reason. I dunno what that means....

Most likely to be your bottom bracket, check for any play in your cranks.

Hey Guys,
From Birmingham, been a geared commuter for a while, currently building up my first SS out of a cheap old falcon, mainly out of curiosity. Been lurking around this site for a few months, searching for advice/info about building one up, found it a very useful resource so far.

hello hello
Found this forum a couple of weeks ago. Been lurking ever since. I used to ride downhill a few years ago but since uni ive not been riding much at all. Looking to get into fixed gear/single speed riding now so I guess this is the right place for me. Anyone know of any good bike shops in Southampton? Also, im on the lookout for a single speed setup for around £200, so if anyone has anything nice then please get in touch.

hiya everyone!
im new to LFGSS, looking to meet lots of people with the same interests as me. Im also new to fixed gear cycling, have had 2 bikes in the past, A BMX which i miss. i then got a single speed which i sold soon after i bought it as it wasnt very well made, im pretty sure it was a unipak bike. so now im in the process of getting my bike custom built. cant wait till its finished. being reading through the forum and there are many useful comments. hopefully when i get my bike ill have somewhere i can share my thoughts...

Hey all.
Another n00b, looking to get my first SS in a month or so for my daily commute. Just researching OTP options at the mo. I'm in Coventry and I only know of a few SS/Fixies around. I commute a measly 3 miles each way at present, but this is increasing to 8 miles each way in January when I move house. I'm hoping to improve my health and fitness more through SS (and potentially FG) riding :)
Cheers,
Steve

Hello all,
I usually get raleigh burners. Thought I might like to fall from a greater height this time.

you have an avatar already?!? Just joined????
-
• #2393
I joined a couple of weeks go but have been busy and didn't get round to saying hello before now. Figured an avatar was part of your identity on the forum, you're a bit face-less without one, so I got one!

Hey, thinking about building up my own bike. Lots of sound advice here.

Stumper> You make me laugh. GIR is not my identity. I like his insanity though. But yes, i know i assoc. people to their Avators. So you win!

I had to google who GIR is, Zim and his pals completely passed me by. I kind of spoilt the whole association thing by using my face - couldn't think of an alternative avatar!
