  • Late November/Early December, same set-up as before only we will kerb the cakes and perhaps sell em at a quid a slice. New trophy?

  • good idea we need a set date to work around first tho

  • sounds good. i know i am pretty new to this but i think keeping the same trophy would be good.
having said that, their should be some sort of permanent prize for the winners (eg a winners spokecard)

  • Can we keep the existing trophy for the summer Trumpington tourney please?

I only ask because I'm moving abroad at the beginning of December and plan to come back to defend the trophy next summer...

  • Think that we'd need an indoor venue too .

  • i think will's got lots of farmer friends with empty grain barns which would be rather sweet and knowing will he could get straw bales to make a court with too, its not what you know ,its who you know and will know's alot of peolpe.

  • I'll see whether he's up for it , could be cool , barn dance kind of event with chickens and tractors

  • that would be rad!
id be well up for a barn dance.
we could all dress up like farmers/animals to play polo.

  • thats a great idea!!! what can we do to make this happen?
i know a Kayleigh band that would play for us

  • It sounds great! Agree with Types about the cakes, much better to rock up with wine and stuff and then claim the kitty.
A seperate Summer and Winter trophy would be good.

  • And scrumpy and slo-gin ........ Can't we book the Wurzels ?

  • I have an idea for the trophy. Does anyone have a space hopper they no longer use?

  • so we spoke about possibly doing a small throw in tourney to mix it up with some festive celebrations on the 22nd (tuesday). if people want, i can book the lights for an extra hour (so we begin at 6:30pm). i know its short notice for people who work (personally i'm on leave that day, and students aren't studenting), so i'd like to see if it is worthwhile for all you other cunts, so can we do a roll call (i will do a facebook invite too so that this gets exposure).

the other option is an all day throw in tourney over the festive season sometime during a day, what dates are best for the busiest (rv, will?).

obviously, bring mince pies, scrumpy, mulled wine, and a costume wouldn't be sniffed at.

  • done a facebook invite to all the polo people, polo 4eva

  • what about this sunday and hire the lights too all day polo just an idea

  • Yeeeha ! I'm bringing my homemade Sloe-Gin and some Lagavulin and maybe a mince pie . Sunday we can carry on the party . Fireworks ? Barbecue ? tomato soup ? Juggling dwarves on mini harleys ?

  • Juggling dwarves on mini harleys ?

    I second that last suggestion.
