Ls55 plo

I was cycling down Deptford Church street North to South, just past the Wavelengths leisure centre when a lady driving a black Merc (C class I think) drove into my rear wheel.

I wobbled, stayed on and looked over my shoulder.

She dropped back then accelerated around me.

I caught up to her when she stopped at the lights at Creek Road.

I knocked on the window and said "You just hit me", to which she replied "oh sorry, oh sorry".

I said that we needed to exchange details as she may have damaged my bike- at which she laughed and said "I seed you, I didn't hit you" and drove off, still laughing.

I'm guessing the coppers will ignore this?

i had the exact same happen to me on Willesden Road, and it's really scary, cos i don't know what speed you were doing, but i was doing around 20mph which feels very fast when you get jerked from behind like that.
It's made me speed wobble, badly, and i nearly came off. scary scary stuff.

hope your alright and everything, and your bike isn't damamged, there are some shocking drivers out there that are blatantly a danger to themselves and others.

pursue the case and nail the driver, if it seems like it's worth your time and effort.

or just take a dump on her bonnet while she's waiting in traffic (i actually saw someone once do that to someone they hated) , they get the message ;)

Guy I work with just got a new moto and some nut job hit his back wheel on the motorway at ~50mph.

Riding home through headingley (leeds) yesterday eve just past hyde park corner, if you know it, just over took another bike and was powering up a fairly gentle incline, down the cycle lane on the inside of traffic - glanced over my shoulder to see if the other bike was anywhere near to see that he had had to scramble onto the pavement as a silver bmw was undertaking the traffic by squeezing down the cycle lane!!

Couldn't believe it, this makes me sound like a pussy but there were 2 pretty dodgy looking young pikeys in the front and I didn't fancy my chances in spd shoes, so in response slowed down to a super crawl - to which I got a load abuse and threats, and them driving with about a foot of my rear wheel...

I replied by asking them whether they were cfucking idiots, asking what they thought they were doing and whether their adoptive mothers would be proud, but just got more abuse and laughter... I was reaching for my phone to start videoing when they booted it down a side street.

Really though, what are these people thinking? It makes me sick.

I was cut up traveling along just in front of a police car in slow traffic (around 15-20 mph) and got cut up twice by the cars in front. Copper did nothing.

Decided it would be a good idea to race him at that point.

I hope you get a conviction or SOMETHING on this driver. Theres no excuse for bad driving imo. If you arent fit to drive why get in the car in the first place? let someone else drive for you.

Neil, pursue it. I reported two people in the last year - one who knocked me off and one who tried to threaten me with a car jack. The first ended up admitting fault and I got money for damage to the bike. The second ended up with a visit from plod and a warning, I chose not to ask them to prosecute.

How do people mange to drive like that, what do they think they will archive by driving that close, I swear most people don't seem to understand the concept of risk vs reward, they are taking a big risk with zero potential reward.
