Mad riding in NY...

I hate those Lucas Brunelle videos. The ones shown at BFF urban shorts were just fucking stupid. Fucking stressful, yet boring. Shite like most of the US films in that screening except Made in Queens - boring oh-so-earnest oooh look at me I ride a bike, wow big deal. Mostly the other films had humour, and CONTENT and were brilliant, like the polo ones and the stupid bird one, and actually the scraper film was good too). Even the tricks videos were entertaining next to the alleycat ones.

Alleycats are for smellytwats. Oooh look I can go fast. Hi fucking five. Bollocks to that. You're a prick for going fast, there. Go fast on a track. Go fast on a TT, or in a crit or whaetver. Not across zebras and against traffic.

I did think some of the near misses would have elicited blind rage from me had it been me or my wife who had been the near missee. At the end of that video a guy chucks something at the riders, looks like a sandwich or something. I dunno what your chances of avoiding accidents would be if you rode everywhere like that.

OT, anyone had any probs with old bill / racing on the highway in relation to alley cats??
