It's a shame that anyone starting a new thread now has to start with saying 'I used the search, and found nothing so I started this one . . .' as an anti flaming device....

My thoughts:
If...
Starting a new thread about a previously coved subject = bad;
Digging up a acient thread = bad; and
derailing/hijacking existing threads = bad
...then how the hell do people ask a question without being flamed?
I think its about using a bit of common sence.
Starting a new thread about a previously coved subject = bad ***(if it's going over exactly the same subject - eg how to remove a headset etc.
*** Digging up a acient thread = ***IMO ONLY ever bad if its a for sale thread or just trying to get out of the nursary
derailing/hijacking existing threads = not really that bad in moderation
...my general thoughts on UTFS I used this site for ages before I ever signed up as a member. I find searching a bit tricky sometimes and sometimes I have to spend quite a bit of time looking thru posts....
