    fucking.awesome.for.road.riding.and.not.getting.killed

the set i use btw, and yes, i'm a rich cunt

  • knog gators

i'd be more inclined to spend 70 quid on something else, knogs don't like wet weather apparently.

  • no probs so far with mine but frog is no use at all in the fen lanes of 6 mile bottom or wherever the fuck we were. great crack though. not knowing where you are does add to the overall adventure...greasy...point heeded

  • bogey, did you actually spend £144 on a front light?
you're an idiot! to put it politely. thats insane! haha

  • not insane for a rich cunt

  • yeah i did spend £180 on lights, i did throw up a little when i bought it, but i see it more as an investment than a stupid purchase (unlike some things i have bought)

just worked out i've thrown away about £150 on lights during my time as a cyclist. won't go into details, but they all either fail in the wet due to poor seals, or lose battery life, or break.

these lights will go on and on, are waterproof, built like shit houses, will work off road, and are covered by a good warranty, plus hopefully drivers will see me = pays money, makes choice.

choose knog/other cheap light, choose getting hit by a car or hitting a pothole in the dark.

  • quite liking this right now

thats a very good light, but you'll have to be religious about keeping your separate rechargeables charged (tend to lose memory if not fully charged), plus you need to fork out extra money for the proper capacity AA batteries. so £70 is more like £90 plus your time and effort.

edited to say, you can't use regular AA's batteries in this unit either!

the exposure joystick has a smart charger, and a clever battery, that doesn't lose memory like rechargeables do.

can you tell i looked into this??

  • get yourselves a bloody good woman, talkin about lights, that might explain the lack of women POLO RULES

  • haha, you light g33k bogey!
wasnt havin a dig for spending that amount of money on lights, it is a fucking good investment, but it is still a hella large sum of money. haha.

other news, reporting from wales. might have found a tiny tiny group of fixed riders! woop!
and a mate said she is going to bring her road bike up and wanted to do some decent milage, so might have people to ride with!

  • thats good knowledge types of bogey...will have a butchers at dem links and have a rethink

  • haha yeah im a geek and proud!

dgoods, you the chap with the fluoro spokes? you will probably have seen the light i use if you are that man. it's a bit bright

  • and good stuff on finding some fellow riders sam. told you you should've taken your bike. give it a few months and you'll be slipping haydens' stream

  • yep...thats me. been out in amsterdam all week so not had time to sort the light situation so will be drafting you later! rick (brakeless), tom and i flew across a crossroads last week holding up the rear...had no idea it was coming!

  • first ride with you guys tonight, thanks it was good.
