  • ...against the flow of traffic? Crazy.

    http://www.myspace.com/rafalemusic

  • looks like at least part CGI to me

  • Hmm bike seems to magically switch between fixed and SS several times

  • photoshop....

  • That was a waste of a couple of minutes from my life.

  • yeah, RaFail....

  • Pretty lame video, but it did make me nostalgic for riding in New York. It's so much fun banging around an amazing town made up of straight roads and iconic sights.

  • Was there the other week - looked to be some great cycle paths down the south of Manhattan island and up the west side. Imagine it would be great fun once you got your bearings.

Reading the New York Times, some conflict between cyclists & pedestrians is raging there too of course, Brooklyn Bridge being a battleground.

Situation about the same as here I reckon, most people fairly reasonably behaved although I did see the odd one or two brakeless descending from the bridge at massive speeds, maybe they were able to stop safely, I don't know cos I've never ridden brakeless....

  • He has utterly stupid handlebars, and weard sunglasses at night. Fail.

  • The music to that video is horrible

  • He rides like my little sister, but worse.

And trying to scare ladies with prams = small cock fail

  • What a Nodder

  • i enjoyed that regardless of what you lot said.

  • That guy's rubbish. See http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WUTL3oKOCNw
    for how to do videos.

  • That shows the useless Yanks how to do it.

  • man i miss riding in NYC. That's where i got my first fixed. surprising to see he's got such wide bars over there, you'd have a hard time getting thru the gaps. Manhattan is so easy to navigate with the grid system (apart from downtown) Brooklyn is pretty crazy. no surprises he starts in Billyburg tho.

  • I think you guys are missing the point... It's quite clearly staged at times, the hotdog vendor, the pushchair and the taxi door. Unnecessary wrong way riding, a lot of the food delivery guys just ride the wrong way but stick to the side of the road. And finally he stops at a DJ set at what looks like Times Square. It's a promo video, it's not meant to appeal to real cyclists, it's meant for people who might see it and think, that DJ is 'cool', let's listen to his music.

  • That guy's rubbish. See YouTube - London Calling - alleycat - Lucas Brunelle
    for how to do videos.

bloody hell, I sat through that swearing every other second. I knew alleycats were crazy and that, but some of that riding was just unbelievable -- the gaps! The peds! the abuse!

    Chapeau, crazy person.

  • That shows the useless Yanks how to do it.

    Lucas Brunelle is a yank.

  • Jeez. That was some ugly riding on an ugly bike. Staged and rubbish. Lucas Brunelle is you man if you want to see good (and insane) riding mate.

The wide angle lens give the impression that the space are narrower than they are, netherless the riding is still gnarly in an alleycats.

    if you want to see a badly misjudged riding, here it is;

    YouTube - Nate's accident
