Well, from what I read and seen, the japanese framebuilder learn their trade from the italian, the student end up becoming the master, i.e. nagasawa. I doubt it's really that bold.

nagasawa is arguably in a league of his own. Vivalo vs. Mercian/Colnago/numerous others - no contest IMO.
