Yes..i have tried inner gloves.....still had very cold hands..and thats in early October come December its agony [sounds a bit dramatic but true]....might get the SealSkinz liner gloves in Merino.....but will give the latex gloves a go.....sounds too simple...so will give them a go......cheers
FACTS
BIG waterproof gloves equal warm hands. surgical gloves ain't gonna do shit. try the specialized radiators in large or medium. they have a measurement guide on their site. Get a size towards the large end of where you fall.
Another great idea are convertible mittens. When i ski, I ONLY use mittens because it's just too damn cold otherwise. There are several companies that make a glove inside a mitten. There's a zipper on the side of the mitten that allows that lightly gloved hand to poke out so you can work with your hands. Finish whatever you're doing, zip them back up, and you're good to go. Depending on if you ride with brakes or gears or whatever, this may be good for you. They WILL keep you warm.
The best gloves on the planet are Hestra, but be prepared to pay.
A BIG cheap glove will keep you warmer than a small expensive glove. Buy big.
