I have an edge 605 but didnt really get on with it - I'm not sure the OSM works with the Edge's
I got a non bike specific Etrex Legend Hcx in the end, totally compatible with OSM (found it invaluable on my Euro holiday this year) non proprietry batteries (so you can take spares) Better satellite finding and easier to use in my opinion.
I used to have a 205 and as far as I know you can't put extra maps on it - unless some firmware upgrade has changed this. Only the 605 and 705 have replaceable maps.
OSM rules, my fella does a lot of work on it as well and had me mapping postboxes in Eltham on my bike last Saturday...the things I do for love..!
