CTC has launched a new campaign called Stop SMIDSY (Stop ‘Sorry Mate I Didn’t See You’). It’s about stopping bad driving. If someone has driven into you, they shouldn’t be able to get away with just saying sorry. But, as we all know, that happens far too much.
You can use it to report crashes, near misses and their aftermath. CTC is gathering evidence to prove what a massive problem this is, and where exactly the police, prosecutors and courts need to do better. There’s also loads of information about the law and some practical tips for dealing with bad driving.
I thought this might be of interest, as there are way too regular posts on this forum about people suffering because of bad driving and the problems they have afterwards sorting out prosecution and compensation.
