  • I have a major Klein boner.

  • let's all calm down a bit - they probably looked good in the 90s, but they do look very 90s.

  • if you like kleins check this fella out:

    http://old-metal.blogspot.com/

look how often he gets new frames/bikes though... he must be throwing a bit of dorra about...

  • ...though it's his serotta's that i'm all about!

  • I've seen that before. I am generally against burglary (Shar'ia law for bike thiefs, etc) but if I knew where he lived, I'd be tempted. Very tempted.

  • can anyone copy and paste a picture of gabes klein attitude in this thread please ?

and yes i have used the search function

  • that looks like it except i thought gabes's was single speed and regular two sided forks

frame looks right though ? maybe this was an earlier incarnation ?

sorry gabes i'm not stalking your bike just wanted to show a mte a picture of it as he is a big klein fan

  • that is his bike with the old set up, the new one is as Dicki says SS. He may post some pic later

  • ive got a klein mantra in white/black with silver fade at home if anyones interested in it?

its seen better days and has a few bits and bobs missing, but the frame is pretty awesome and only has very few nicks... its got a fox float too...

    kinda like this....

  • I have just had my old Klein Pinnacle frame refinished by Argos Cycles, now seeking some tips on building as a single speed.

  • I used to drool over a Klein road bike in the window of an expensive bike shop back in maybe 1992... Pearlescent white finish, all quite understated, nice close ratio gears, weighed fuck all and cost like £2000 or so as I remember [I have to say that my memory is not great so I could well be wrong], which was quite a lot of money back then, considering that a few years later I bought a house for about the price of 20 of them.

  • Wow, gabes, that is HOT.

  • I have always wanted an early 90's Klein Rascal after seeing the green one Jerry Seinfeld has hanging in his apartment in Seinfeld.

The comedian/actor Michael Richards (Kramer in Seinfeld) is a cycling enthusiast has a Rascal he got resprayed black and new decals put on. Custom built it himself.

  • here are three of my kleins
a 2000 Quantum pro in Sedona red
A 1992 Performance in Gator linear fade
and a 1994 Navigator in Raven
    more to follow

  • a 50/14 thread bump!

    indeed.

  • want

    my dream road bike... wow
any idea how much those frames go for...?

  • I'm bumping this cause I'm onthe hunt for a Klein frame and if push cones to shove and it's a bit battered I'm calling on the knowledge of the forum to point me towards a guy/company that could do a nice paint job on it, I think I read on here before that there is a specialist guy who does a really good job through an interest with Klein specifically but I can't seem to find the post now?

  • What size are you looking for? Any particular model?

I know there's a matey on retorobike who does klein/esque paintjobs

  • Prolly an attitude or a rascal, I heard there was a guy who lived in Suffolk who did the paint but been trying to pm peeps on retro bike website, no response yet though
