Freecycle: Singer electric sewing machine

Free to good home, I know nothing about sewing machines but I've plugged it in and it whirrs and goes round, the needle is broken but that shouldn't be hard to fix.

Collection only from SW11 Northcote Rd area.

Does it weight a tonne? I wouldn't mind my own machine.

Machines of this era if 240volt ac need checking to ensure the electrical earthing circuit is complete. If it is double insulated it will have a square box within another box on the label and will not need an earth at all.
