I've got a Mixte frame like that although it hasn't actually got a rear brake on at the moment. I've just been to have a look at it, and I reckon you should have another bridge at the top end of the two split tubes. From what I remember, I reckon a screw-in adjuster fits in the hole in the top bridge and this takes the outer casing and tensions the bare wire down to the brake. The screw-in adjuster is like the one which fits in a standard side-pull brake, or like the one which fits in the hanger on the headset for a centre-pull brake. Try getting hold of an old Weinmann 500/730 - I think that one will fit. If you can't find one, get back to me and I'll have a look in the garage.
