Whoever buys it... put some decent brakes on it please. Or 'fix' it.
At the moment it's single-speed and the only brake has a suicide lever.

Yeah I spoke to Sykes, he said he'll sell you the wheels separately. Just head back in time 2½ years ago to collect.

You'll probably get them at a reasonable price back then to what with inflation and all...

this is why new people hate joining this forum, we just want to get involved in cycling, but go on, make it a bit harder for us.
-

i think an easier way would be to go out on a bike if you want to get involved in cycling, i'm not sure an internet forum is the best place to start?
also how do you know people hate joining this forum, have you been discussing joining this forum on another forum?!

I don't think this forum is the ideal place for people new to cycling.
I also find an 'instant gratification' expectation and an attitude that it's someone else's job to sort a query (which can usually be found in five seconds through google or similar search) depressingly prevalent among "new people".
Either a lot of four year olds have Internet access, or the world is steadily being taken over by interplanetary morons with no understanding of basic human interaction. Maybe though, it's just a generation of young people who've never really had to do anything for themselves and don't understand the responsibilities of an adult within society.

^^^^^ I of course don't understand all of that but I agree.
Mind you my first post I remember well you just have to roll with the punches, from then to now having the support of the forum for my pro team. -

Wether a newbie, and oldie, this is the only reasonable response - +1 for K'Cutter
Please note, this is single speed with a front brake only, it is not fixed gear, i've had a few messages asking this
I've had this bike for about a year I think, a friend sold it to me and converted it to single speed.
I rode it less than 5 times before realising its totally the wrong size for me, and it has sat around doing nothing ever since.
I don't know much about bikes, so I have taken a lot of photos to compensate.
I believe it is 21 inch (I measured the crank to the top of the bike at an angle, not including the saddle).
I have taken some more measurements to make sure I haven't got it all wrong. It is roughly 20 inches along the bar at the top. From spoke to spoke it is just over 24 inches, and from the floor to the top of bar along the middle it is just under 32 inches.
There is some rust along the handle bars/pedals/under the seat (see photos), but I presume people will modify this anyway, so thats probably irrelevant.
There is only the front brake at the moment, again I'm sure that will be changed too.
If you want me to find something out for you, just email me with some instructions and i'll give it a go.
I live and work in South London/Surrey and I can deliver the bike anywhere in London really (in my car).
Email me with questions and offers to defant (at) gmail.com or PM me!
