and why do the commentators keep on putting the words " he's a piss poor defender " and " glenn johnson " in the same sentence
why can't they save that till he actually does something wrong or makes a fuck up so far he's been lauded for his attacking hasn't dropped any clangers and the press still class him as a poor defender
journo's / commentators really grind my gears

only saw the second half yesterday but drogba, for all his rolling about, was the only dangerous player on the pitch, and he created both goals. that left foot cross for the first was brilliant. i hate to see him go down so easily and it is fucking annoying. but he stepped up yesterday. torres was woeful, but all players have games like that from time to time. along with rooney though those two are the most dangerous strikers in the country

Agreed Jonny. Torres struggles when the rest of Liverpool does, he can't be a one man team all the time.
A couple of weeks ago against Hull he tore them to shreds, it was like a man amongst boys.

commentators having a go at johnson for no apparent reason
it really grinds my gearsFirst and foremost he's a defender and should be judged on just that, I for one thought he would do well at Chelsea but time has shown us that the rightback position is one of the hardest to fill. Just like Bosingwa, Johnson is very good at going forward but more then suspect when he's out of position. He should concentrate a bit more on defending and less on his attacking play. That and stealing toilet seats at B&Q make him a very silly boy. Although a very rich one.
£18.5M is an awful lot of money for a mediocre right back that has shown promise 5 years ago, regardless of the fact that Portsmouth owned Liverpool money for the Peter Crouch transfer. -

Never thought I'd say this but I am with Sam Allardyce 100%
If that wasn't a penalty on Dunn then I'm a Chinaman. Blatant!
The Pompey 'handball' was almost as bad

hardly any appeal though, and the ref was right on it

Penno = Awesome
I've only ever heard Scousers use it... Sounds brilliant in a Scouse accent... :] -

Glen Johnson is reputed to be the thickest footballer in a world where footballers are notoriously thick.
Frank Lampard has a Latin 'O' level.

Glen Johnson is one of the doziest twats I've ever seen play for Chelsea... I used to cover my eyes every time he got the ball on the edge of the box and tried to get himself out of trouble... Twat... Dozy...

well that doesn't give the commentators the excuse to call him a bad defender
i may have bad breath but that doesn't make me a bad bike rider

i bet old glenn looks like einstien when doing the suns quickie cross word in a timed challenge against david beckham
-
• #5292
Didn't think Frank Lampard was old enough to do O Levels, besides he had a private education so would be hard pushed to come out with out any qualifications.

are you mr angry disguised as a bike fiend? didn't say it wasn't..it was a pen all day, but it was wierd that it being so clear there wasn't more of a player protest. the ref was meters away, but he had his view obscured just as it happened.
not surprising though. dunn looks like he's been to greggs and eaten all the pies then the pasties and the cakes. fat fuck is too top heavy. surprised more players didn't fall over when he hit the deck from aftershock.

But Alardyce is such a wretched cunt, who always blames referees, I'm fucking glad he doesn't get many decisions. The fatheaded cunts is just Ferguson-lite.

wretched cunt...funny. could substitute that whole sentence for wenger. allardyce may still manage england one day. not that i supportthat but it could happen.
-
• #5296
That was a perfect challange by Vermaelen, pie boy lost control and was going over, super Tom got the ball.
But for Alardyce to come out and claim the pen changed the game!! after a royal roasting, with the only two gaols his side scored were one flukey looping header and one mahoosive defelction.
What a tool!

未曾認為我會說此,但我是以山姆Allardyce 100%
,如果那不是一項懲罰在Dunn然後我是華人。 大膽!
Pompey 『手球』是幾乎作為壞If you say so

There is rougly 0% chance of Allardyce managing England, the only reason he got close a while back, is 'cos the press demanded an English manager after Sven, and they ended up McClaren. Everone has learnt a lesson and I suspect England will be managed by foreigners until an English manager actually wins something. Jocks are out of the question, so maybe Martin O'Neil.

I think that Pistanator has more chance of managing England than Allardyce and would probably make a better job of it.

When was the last time you saw a protest by players anywhere at any level and the ref says: "Atcually, yeah, sorry you're right, I've changed my mind"
No point protesting and players know it(except Utd & Chelseas players)
slander!
