As long as Liverpool players stick to the pragmatism that has been instilled by Benitez they will not win anything. The only reason why Gerrard has been excellent for many seasons for Liverpool was because of the player that played alongside him (Xabi Alonso). With that gone they only thing they've got left is Mascherano (excellent player btw but no good going forward) and Lucas (won't waste words on him).
A midfield where only one player can play a good forward pass is not going to win you titles and a formation with only one striker and one real winger is not good enough either (Kuyt is not a winger). As for Drogba, yes he could be less theatrical but he did well for setting up both goals and not sure if Torres could do the same, the two of them together would make for an excellent strike force though.
