It's October, it'll be wet. Embrace it and enjoy it, it gives you an excuse to dive into a pub for a cheeky pint. (Did that with my folks last Xmas and they had a great time, saw loads of sights in one walk, had a sneaky pint or two, then took them home for dinner. They were asleep on the sofa by 9 pm).
