  • Good man

  • Fizik.

    +1

I'm using it now, its simply the most comfortable tape i have ever used.
Get it, you won't regret it.

  • I don' like it 'cause it's not stretchy..... so it tend to slither around after a few months- the cheap and cheerful PRO works OK for me, or the prologo is good, too.

I do like the fizik gel inserts to go under the tape, tho'
    S.

  • Whatever tape you get it has a limited life with constant riding, so get what you like the look and feel of.

  • Sellotape.

Good for carbon bars as it's see through and everyone in Richmond Park gets to see your weave, if you're having gripping problems do what the Pro's do during mountain stages and use double-sided sellotape.

  • Nice try Dov, but you know that all the fixie skidders use masking tape, cause you can customise it with cute slogans like "All you haterz suck my balls"

  • yeah, and "this bike killz haterz" and the timeless "fuck yeah" and one that says "this is where my brake lever should be but isn't coz I'm fuckin brakeless muthafuckerzz!!!"

  • Baby blue tape is the most porn worthy. Fact!

Deda tape in lots of colours, £6.27, here....

  • I went to Sports Direct and got 2 rolls of Dunlop tennis racquet handle wrap for £4

it worked all right but I'm never, EVER buying white handlebar tape again

  • I got some of this, it's not the cheapest but still not exasctly expensive - looks the shit, is well comfy and if you can be bothered to wait can get a load of other colour combos from other places.

  • Bontrager gel tape. Get it in Evans. It has no adhesive*, so you can reposition it, reuse it, whatever.
It's grippy, very comfortable, super stretchy and very tough.

*The back of the tape has a sort of line of silicon gripper so it stays in place on the bars.

  • I've heard that Fizik is actually made by trappist monks in Uraguay. They bless each pallette load before it leaves the monastery. Then feed the poor with the profits.

For that reason alone its worth buying, let alone that its getting quite rare these days.

Apparently this is quite true. The reason one doesn't hear much about it is that them Trappist guys are ones to shoot their mouths off about their own good works, or anything else for that matter.

  • Whereas Cinelli cork tape is not an ecologically sound choice due to the deforestation of cork oak woodland in Portugal and Spain.

bugger bugger bugger, the baby blue tape would have looked awesome and matched the colour of my frame but i only got red tape last week.

good spot, will remember that for next time.

  • blue and red is alright, but blue and pink is GORGEOUS

  • Real men will roll Yoshida grips onto their steel handlebars, and then get callouses from doing standing starts on said bars.
    You heard it first here....
