Ah got you, thanks. Took it out and it did go in at a slightly funny angle, there's a point very early on in my BB threads where you can take one of two paths, and I took the wrong one! No permanent damage done though fortunately.
So I've put it back in straight this time and it seems fine - only question now is how tight should I go? Just enough to remove any play?
